A few people have asked why is this blog titled Unlikely.

Answer:  A couple of weeks ago we did a teaching series titled Unlikely with our students at Collide.  Below is a summary of the series.

If you haven’t noticed by now, we’re going to clue you in on something big about God—He doesn’t exactly operate like most of us. What we mean is, He chooses the most unlikely people to work through. He shows up in the most unlikely places. And then He asks us to respond in ways that are unlikely and go against our normal response. And what it all boils down to is this—you and I are unlikely people God uses in unlikely places to respond in unlikely ways.

I’ve lived an unlikely life.  Check it…….

• Dad died at 12 and turned out normal – Unlikely
• Called by God to pursue Full Time Ministry – Unlikely
• Attended LU – Unlikely
• Married at 19 – Unlikely
• Father at 21 – Unlikely
• Began my ministry in FL – Unlikely
• Father of 3 girls at 26 – Unlikely
• Family Pastor at Brentwood Church – Unlikely
• Blogger – Unlikely

This blog is a constant reminder for me that God uses Unlikely people, in Unlikely places, to do Unlikely things.  I’m guessing the next chapter in my life will be an Unlikely one.  Holla!
